BALLB, or Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws, is a 5-year integrated undergraduate degree that combines the study of Arts (Humanities) and Law. It is designed for students who wish to build a career in the legal field directly after completing their 12th (higher secondary education). The BALLB program includes subjects from the Arts stream, such as Political Science, Sociology, History, and Economics, along with core Law subjects like Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Family Law, Contract Law, and Property Law. This combination helps students understand society, politics, and human behavior, while also teaching them about legal systems, procedures, and rights. The course is spread over 10 semesters (5 years) and also focuses on practical training through moot courts, internships, legal aid clinics, and research work.
